# How to change the date of a whole day

## Quick answer

In a chat from screenshots or Scroll Capture:

1. Long press the gray date line.
2. Tap **Edit Date**.
3. Pick the right day.
4. Tap the check mark.

Every message from that day moves. The times stay the same.

## What you need

- TextPort on your iPhone
- A chat imported from screenshots or Scroll Capture

## Steps

1. Long press the gray date line

   Open the chat. Press and hold the line with the date. A menu opens.

2. Tap **Edit Date**

   **Edit Date** opens. It says how many messages will move.

3. Tap the right day

   Tap the day. Use the arrows for another month.

4. Tap the check mark

   It is in the top right. The sheet closes.

5. Check the chat

   The date line and messages show the new day.

## Done

All the messages from that day have the right date. The times did not change.

## Problems

| There is no **Edit Date** in the menu. | The chat came from Messages, WhatsApp, or LINE. Their dates are exact. |

### Do the times change?

No. Only the day changes. To change a time, use **Edit Timestamp** on the message.
