How to change the date of a whole day
Quick answer
In a chat from screenshots or Scroll Capture:
- Long press the gray date line.
- Tap Edit Date.
- Pick the right day.
- Tap the check mark.
Every message from that day moves. The times stay the same.
What you need

Steps

Long press the gray date line
Open the chat. Press and hold the line with the date. A menu opens.

Tap Edit Date
Edit Date opens. It says how many messages will move.

Tap the right day
Tap the day (1). Use the arrows for another month.

Tap the check mark
It is in the top right (2). The sheet closes.

Check the chat
The date line and messages show the new day.
Done
All the messages from that day have the right date. The times did not change.
Problems
There is no Edit Date in the menu.
The chat came from Messages, WhatsApp, or LINE. Their dates are exact.
Only one message has the wrong date.
Every day is off by a year.
Error Editing Date
Check your internet. Tap OK. Then tap the check mark again.
None of these match.
