How to take good screenshots for TextPort
You will have a set of screenshots that TextPort can read with almost no mistakes.
What you need

- ✓The chat open in its app
Good screenshots mean fewer fixes later. These four rules matter most: overlap, show times, keep them sharp, and go in order.
Steps

Open the chat
Go to the app the chat is in. Open the chat. Scroll to where you want to start.

Show the times
In Messages, drag any bubble to the left to show the times. In other apps, tap a message to show its time. Times help TextPort put things in order.

Take a screenshot
Press the side button and the volume up button at the same time. Let go fast.

Scroll a little
Scroll up so the last message you captured is now at the top of the screen. The two screenshots should overlap by one or two messages.

Repeat
Take a screenshot. Scroll. Take a screenshot. Keep going until you reach the end of the chat.

Check your screenshots
Open Photos. Make sure each screenshot is sharp and not cropped. Retake any that are blurry.

You have a set of screenshots that overlap, show times, and go in order. TextPort can read them cleanly.

Turn off dark mode for the cleanest result. Light backgrounds read best.

Close keyboards and pop-ups before you shoot. They hide messages.

Do not zoom. Use the normal text size.
