What if your printer is not in the list?

Turn the printer on. Join it to the same Wi-Fi as your iPhone. The printer must work with AirPrint.

What if you have no printer?

Tap PDF instead of Print. Save the PDF to Files. Print it at a shop or a library. See Export a chat to PDF.

What if you need only some dates?

In Print Preview, tap the filter icon next to the printer button. Pick a start date and an end date. The filter shows only for chats from Messages, WhatsApp, or LINE that cover more than one day.

What if names show, but no phone numbers?

Tap Add on the Add phone numbers to this PDF card in the preview. See Add phone numbers to a PDF.

What if it prints too many pages?

In Options, tap Layout. Pick more pages per sheet. Or tap Range and pick fewer pages.

What if none of these problems match mine?

Can I print in black and white?

Yes, on most printers. After you pick a printer, look for a Black & White switch in Options. Not every printer shows it.

How many pages will it be?

Print Preview shows each page. Scroll to the end to count them.

Tap the chat in Saved Chats

Open TextPort. The chat opens.
Tap Export

It is the blue button at the bottom. Export Chat opens.
Tap Print

TextPort builds the pages. Print Preview opens.

TextPort may ask you to unlock this.
Check the preview

Scroll to check it. Each message shows the name, date, and time.
Tap the printer button

It is the blue button in the top right. Options opens.
Tap Printer

It is the top row of Options. A list of printers opens.
Tap your printer

Options shows again, with your printer in the top row.
