How to print a chat from your iPhone
You will have a paper copy of your chat, with names, dates, and times.
What you need
- ✓TextPort on your iPhone
- ✓A chat saved in TextPort
- ✓A printer on the same Wi-Fi that works with AirPrint
You can print from your iPhone with no computer. TextPort makes the pages. Your iPhone sends them to the printer.
Steps

Open the chat
Open TextPort. Tap the chat in Saved Chats.

Tap Export
It is the big blue button at the bottom of the chat.

Tap Print
A sheet lists the formats. Tap Print.

Check the preview
TextPort builds the pages. Scroll to check them.

Tap the printer button
It is the blue button in the top right. The iOS print options open.

Pick your printer
Tap Printer. Pick yours from the list. Set copies and paper size if you want.

Tap Print
It is in the top right. Your pages print.
Done
Your chat is printed.
Tips

No printer at home? Tap PDF instead of Print. Save the PDF to Files. Email it to a print shop or a friend with a printer.

Only need some dates? Tap the filter icon in the preview before you print.

Print two pages per sheet to save paper. Tap Layout in the print options.

Make sure the printer is on and on the same Wi-Fi as your iPhone. It must support AirPrint. Most printers made after 2012 do.

Yes. After you pick a printer, look for a Black & White switch in the print options. Not every printer shows it.

The print options show the page count under Range. About 25 messages fit on one page.
